Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Familiar Tier List Explained!
We understand the word “Familiars” is new in the gacha RPG realm, but Familiars In Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds are solid companions throughout the game. As you tour through the game, you can level up these units and synergize effectively with them.
Nevertheless, Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds follows a rather unique approach by dividing each of its Familiar into five different elements. These are Light, Fire, Darkness, Wood, and Water. All these elements/types manifest their own benefits and drawbacks over each other.
Because the hierarchy set in our Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds tier list discussed below closely depends on this element system, here’s how elements contest against one another: The Fire-type outclasses the Wood-type, whereas the Wood-type is considered much worthier than the Water-type.
The Water-type, however, has an advantage over the Fire-type. Lastly, the Familiars of Darkness and Light types are equal in strengths. Given this complex but interesting dissection of Familiars into closely competing elements, we have placed those who belong to stronger elements higher up in their respective tiers than those of weaker elements.
We have sorted Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Familiars into five tiers as follows:
Tier-S: The overall best Familiars of the game.
Tier-A: Certainly one of the most overpowered Familiars after S-Tier ones.
Tier-B: Balanced Familiars of Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds that will perform just fine.
Tier-C: Average performers with nothing very unique.
Tier-D: Not skilled. Have only the basic capabilities to offer.

Hippocampus
This attack-type Water Familiar offers an extra 1% bonus on each Water-type attack made. If you are looking for the best DPS in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds to fit in an overall water elemental team, Hippocampus is by far the best option.
In his active skills, Hippocampus has this very good single targeted option called the Waterspout that completely shuns anyone it hits. Moreover, Hippocampus also has the Torrent ability, that’s an AoE damaging skill and pulls the foes towards the center.
Mite
The mite is a potent attacker Familiar who is currently the most viable Fire-type DPS pick in the game. He has two very powerful abilities with him. Starting with the first active ability, Cross Slash, that’s a single targeted damaging one.
The ability enables Mite to deal an overtime damage effect that tends to last for a couple of seconds. Mite also has Terrible Slashing, an AoE damaging ability that aims for every enemy and knocks back the ones that are hit.
Oroboros
Looking for a decent attacker for a Wood-based team? Look no further. Oroboros is the best Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Wood-type attacker Familiar in our list. Like almost every other Familiar in the list, Oroboros’s first active skill called the Spin Attack, is a single target damaging one that inflicts damage over time type Poison debuff, which lasts for 5 seconds. Oroboros’s other active skill is an AoE one that tends to attack all enemies and knocks down those who are hit for a couple of seconds.
Sparkee
Sparkee belongs to the element Light and is also an attacker of the family. Along with excelling in dealing Light damage, Sparkee is a great Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds stunner who leaves the enemies out of action for some time (usually 8 seconds). Sparkee can manifest this capability due to its Zip Zap skill, a single targeted damaging skill.
Hob-Goblin
Hob-Goblin is also an attacker Familiar in the game that swells a player’s chance of inflicting critical damage. This is enabled especially due to Hob-Goblin’s passive skills, which reduces the opponent’s endurance against critical hits.
Splisher
If you are already overwhelmed with the number of attackers in the S-Tier of our Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Familiar tier list, here’s a support option then. Splisher is a Water-type Familiar that helps reduce the cooldown of all skills for the same element Familiars.
If you are related to a Water-based team, Splisher is an almost compulsory mate to get onboard. Moreover, Splisher can also heal and dispel debuffs using his active ability, the Tiny Prayer. The skill recovers the HP and removes any burn debuff from the target for any player. Splisher’s ability can also swell the Burn resistance rate for a while.
Shrimpaler
Shrimpaler is the second-best support Familiar of our Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds tier list. His abilities revolve around decreasing the cooldown of all Fire-type allies. Shrimpaler also swells Attack speed for every Fire elemental Familiar equipped.
The unit offers Shrimpaler’s Blessing as his first active skill that is said to add 2000 extra points to the user’s HP pool along with recovering 10% of it. It also eliminates all Poison debuffs and improves the Poison resistance for some time. All in all, if you are after a decent support unit, Shrimpaler is one of the ideal choices on the list.
Molten Lion
Unlike most attacker-type Familiars in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, Molten Lion is a defensive and tanky one that effectively protects you and the allies from incoming hits. The sturdy unit can decrease incoming elemental hits by 1% per every Fire-type Familiar onboard.
Also, Molten Lion can increase damage dealt by your side, particularly when you are low on HP (below 20%). Molten Lion has Eternal Flame as his first active skill that offers him a MAX HP recovering buff paired with Immortality buff.
His other active skill performs somewhat similarly, providing Molten Lion the ability to become Immortal for almost 10 seconds when he is severely low on HP. The skill also swells his basic attack speed by 25% and attack damage by 50%.
Dinoceros
A decent attack Familiar that increases Darkness elemental damage. Dinoceros single targeted hitting ability knocks down your foes for about 2 seconds. The active ability also deals a Corrupt debuff which renders over time effect damage lasting for about 8 seconds. Dinoceros also owns an AoE targeted active damage skill called the Wild Roar that inflicts 25% extra damage to corrupted enemies.
Crab-O-Lantern
Another great defense type Familiar of our tier list who also does great as a tank. Crab-O-Lantern is known for increasing Critical Hit Resist Rate while also reducing incoming damage per Light elemental Familiars onboard.
The Familiar possesses a very unique Shining Pumpkin active skill. It is a self-buffing skill that enables Crab-O-Lantern to resist 100% damage for 1.5 seconds and offers extra HP and healing incentives. Crab-O-Lantern’s other ability allows him to morph any two targets into Pumpkins.
Suiryu
A water-type attacker Familiar who has a very potent single target damaging ability called the Hydro Cannon. The skill allows Suiryu to inflict overtime affecting damage called the Frostbite debuff that lasts for 5 seconds. The second active skill in an AoE targeted damaging one.
Bunnybot
Bunnybot is very different support Familiar who increases all elemental damage proportional to all attacker Familiars equipped rather than same type Familiars. This is paired with the ability to decrease the lasting duration of all crowd control effects too.
Bunnybot’s first active skill Rearm is a decent support skill that offers a sturdy shield to allies for 7 seconds. How sturdy is it? Well, it has strength equal to 10% of MAX HP! Players can also avail up to 50% of Stun, Subdue and Knock Down resistance during these 7 seconds and inflict 10% additional damage to stunned targets.
Bunnybot’s other active skill, the Absolute Defence, also serves the same purpose. The skill builds a strong shield for allies that can absorb five attacks for up to 5 seconds. While the shield is still active, players are also offered 25% Elemental status effect resistance.
Stagthorn
Stagthorn is a Defense type Familiar of the clan with amazing passive abilities as well as active abilities. For instance, Stagthorn offers you a decent increase in Knock Down, Impact, Push Back and Subdue Resist rates. Stagthorn’s self buffing active ability, called the Divine Protection, enables him to get through powerful incoming attacks by reducing the amount of damage. The ability also lets Stagthorn reflect damage and stun enemies.
Arachnes
This attacker of our Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Familiar tier list has a potent single targeted damaging ability called the Pierce in her arsenal. It will help Arachnes deal extra damage while absorbing more than 5% of MAX HP in each successful hit. Also, Arachnes has got Shadow Thorn as her second active skill, an AoE that targets all enemies dealing 20% increased damage on every hit.
Disbelief
Disbelief is a support Familiar in the game who is proficient in reducing the basic skill cooldowns of Earth-type ally Familiars. She has got an amazing healing skill that induces MAX HP worth 7.5% along with 1000 HP and helps remove all Frostbite effects.
The skill also improves Frostbite resist rate for a couple of seconds. If you want to avail a greater increase punch in MAX HP, Disbelief’s second active ability called the Aromatherapy will help you do that.
The skill can restore up to 35% of the MAX HP of any ally Familiar while also eradicating Frostbite debuff.

Best Classes in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds
Now that you are aware of the rank each class holds, we will discuss the abilities and skills of each class in the order of its rank in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds. Also, take a look at how to find Adventure Chests in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds so you can upgrade your characters.
The Swordsman Class
This Melee DMG class is on the top of our list for a reason. Characters from this class are armed with a one-handed sword which allows them to deal a lot of damage to the enemies. Since they are close-ranged, they can prove to be very useful in battles in a compact environment. Their DMG role with close-ranged attacks makes them the perfect class.
Using the sword, this class can take out their enemies with a few blows. Their heavy strikes have the power to penetrate the armor of enemies and make them vulnerable to incoming attacks. Some core abilities like Flash and Flying Slash ability can help you deal a lot of damage on enemies and can knock down enemies in I second.
The ultimate ability of this class is the Magical Sword Cut. This will allow you to inflict about 456 percent damage and 100 percent damage when playing against PVE enemies. You should also check out the Specialities in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds guide we have created before you read any further.
The Destroyer Class
This class comes second to Swordsman but is no less an exceptional class. This melee-focused class is positioned on the frontline and takes the most of the enemy attacks. Your teammates in the middle can do their job of giving damage to the enemies and providing them with buffs and rebuffing them when possible.
The Destroyer Class in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds possess amazing HP stats as well as DEF abilities. The abilities like Full Swing and Brutal Strike can help you a lot in difficult combat situations. Ground Slam ability allows you to jump in the air and attack the enemy. You will deal about 180 damage and the enemies will also slow down for about 3 seconds by 20 percent. Check out our Reroll guide for Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds to change characters and classes.
The most powerful ability of this class is the ultimate ability called Hammer of fury. By using the ability, you will inflict about 469 percent damage. If you’re fighting a monster, you will deal 100 percent more damage against them by using the Hammer of Fury Ability. All these amazing abilities make the Destroyer one of the best tanks in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds no matter if you’re playing PvE or PvP.
The Witch Class
Witch or Mage Class is one of the best classes in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds and could’ve been placed easily in S tier if not for their squishiness. This magic damage dealer class can use a magical spear-type weapon to deal massive damage to foes from a close or medium distance. They can also produce debuffs on enemies. Witch or mage class also have the ability to lower the stats and block most of their movements. They can also inflict continuous damage over time.
Some core abilities of Witch Class in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds make it the best for combat in PvP and PvE. Piercing Storm will let you attack your enemy with a spear and knock them down immediately giving around 180 percent damage. Dancing Spear ability will allow you to leap in the air and do a spinning attack on enemies giving them 246 percent damage. The Ultimate Ability of this class makes it one of the best classes belonging to higher tiers in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds.
The Rain of Spears Ultimate Ability summons a rain of spears from the sky that can help you inflict damage on most of your enemies. Each spear will deal about 80 percent damage and you can deal 100 percent more damage to your enemies.
The Engineer Class
The only reason why this class is not in the highest tiers in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds is due to it being only limited to a Support/Healer. They might be very helpful in PvP team battles but in Solo fights, they might not be the best class in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds. Engineers can heal and support their allies. They can also attack and inflict damage using firearms and summon skills.
For team battles, Engineers can be very useful and help support the tanks and melee users fighting on the frontline. However when solo, you might not be able to take down waves of enemies that come your way because Engineers don’t usually have a lot of damage power.
The Burst Coil Ability of this class can help you summon Artillery Shots from the air and give about 150 percent damage to the enemies. Elemental Blast can inflict about 212 percent damage by casting the element of the weapon. It can also slow down enemies by 15 percent. The Explosive Bullet ability of this class can deal heavy AOE damage using a powerful bullet.
However, what makes this class the best support is its Ultimate Ability. The Artillery Strike Ultimate Ability lets you summon 2 cannons that will inflict damage to all your enemies on the frontline. Any enemy present in front of the Engineer will receive 447% damage while the monsters will get a 100 percent increased damage.
The Rogue Class
While Rogue might not be the best class in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, it certainly helps a lot in PvP team battles. Using long-ranged damage attacks they can help you clear out most of the enemies using their bows. Ths Rogue class can also provide buffs to their enemies and produce massive damage on enemies from a long distance making them a good damage dealer among other classes in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds.
Rain of Arrows will allow you to attack enemies with power full arrows causing around 15 percent damage. It will also slow the enemy’s movement by 11 percent. The multi-shot ability of the Rogue class in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds will let you inflict 170 percent damage on enemies. Evasion Shot will help you shoot forward while evading incoming attacks and inflicting about 180 percent damage.
Using this ability you will also be able to push enemies away from allies and their speed will go down by 11 percent. The Ultimate Ability of the Rogue Class is Spirit Arrow which allows you to summon a powerful arrow that will take down your enemies. You can inflict 460 percent damage using the Spirit Arrow Ultimate Ability.

These friendly and helpful creatures can be used in many ways – to complete expeditions, to heal, to buff, and to fight alongside you. They can be tamed by giving them gifts, and the more they like them, the stronger your bond will grow. Familiars have different personalities too, like the helpful and loyal Penguicorn, or the shy Disbeleaf that hides away.

Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Familiar Types
Within Cross Worlds, there are five different elements that both Familiars and weapons can have attributed to them. These are Darkness, Light, Wood, Fire, and Water. This is slightly different to the previous games; Wrath of the White Witch had Storm, and The Revenant Kingdom had Wind instead of the Earth element.
The strengths are as follows:
Fire > Wood
Wood > Water
Water > Fire
Light >< Darkness Advertisement How To Get Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Familiars Thankfully, there are loads of ways to get yourself a part of these funky Familiars. Given that Cross Worlds is using a gacha system, that's the most obvious place you’ll be able to get them from. There will be a standard banner, as well as themed banners with higher rates for certain Familiars from time to time. You’ll get some Familiars during the story. For instance Mite, a strong, fire-type Familiar, will be earned by following story events. Familiars can also be bred by using materials. This is likely to be unlocked after a few levels are passed. Lastly, there are bright blue butterflies on the overworld - these show where Familiars are! You can interact with them, and feed them to tame them. Officially Introduced Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Familiars The official Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds site has given us a few Familiars to satiate our curiosity. There are ten listed with introductions, some of which are in the current tier list. They are: Rimu A teddy bear made by a magician as a gift for a young girl who was afraid of the dark. Though born of the desire to help the girl, Rimu is a scaredy-cat. It hides from its fears in its dinosaur costume. Penguicorn Penguicorn was born of the desire to help others. It is a true gentleman, always holding doors and answering when asked for directions. This incredible butler will give you a warm welcome home after a long day. Hog-Goblin A familiar that lives in groups in the mountains. Don't let its cuteness fool you, or it may knock you out with its stick and take all your stuff! Sparkee Sparkee was born from an energetic heart. It sometimes shocks its own friends because it produces so much electricity. It would be a lot more popular if it could just contain itself... Polarin Polarin was born from the cleanest snow in Winter Wonderland. It has a cute face with bright eyes and fluffy snowballs, but it can charge at you with its icicle horn, so be careful! Petal Petals are born in the hearts of flowers. They float in the wind and help flower buds bloom, spreading their floral scent far and wide. Jabber Jabber was born of the desire to be free. You may encounter brave Jabbers while walking through forests. Seeing a Jabber fight valiantly can inspire courage in your own heart. Rambunctus Rambunctus was born of the desire to do whatever it wants. You're sure to find Rambunctus dancing in crowded places, making everyone nearby tired with its sweet moves. Sillymander Sillymander was born from lava in a hot desert. Every breath it takes is accompanied by flames, so watch out! It may look friendly, but it's actually very dangerous, so keep a safe distance! Petromaton A magical creature whose duty is to protect the ruins of an ancient kingdom. It stands still when it's not fighting, but as soon as it sees an enemy, it uses its rocky fists to take them down with surprising speed. The game is huge, so it'll take us some time to grade each and every one of them. Until then, though, our Ni No Kuni Classes guide can get you started on the right foot.
